The Boyd was the only theater to ever show Cinerama in Eastern PA. Here is proof that Cinerama required 3 separate projection booths to illuminate the super wide screen! This very rare 1953 photo shows 2 of the booths being built at the Boyd. The Boyd attracted hundreds of thousands of people for each Cinerama movie.
